Setup my own donation page that uses paypal with goals for additional goodies ( like this: melonberrytea.com/donations/ )
Open up preorders but charge more per book.
Forget about selling it at conventions and wait to start a kick starter

Here's the situation:
Fund Raising for Kings Folly HelpTime is running out and at this point I do not have enough time to start up a Kickstarter for crowd funding if I want to sell my books at conventions this year. So I've decided to hold off on the kickstarter until I can put together the official fan book.
I also do not want to open preorders as I've learned that packaging books is very time consuming and very stressful and USPS loves to lose them... I'm going to have to resort to opening up preorders though.
The only issue is I really want to keep the books at $6 to make it affordable for everyone but I might have to make it $10. However even at $10 each I would need to sell 150 of them in order to meet my funding goal to print Chapter 1. I had hoped to have gotten in some really awesome clear folders from JiMi that I could include as a bundle deal but guess what, USPS lost it in that mail and it was sent back to Korea.... I have no idea when I will be getting them now....... I did get some pendants made and I have some bookmarks I can
